Full Moon in Gemini

Full Moon in Gemini: December 15 2024, 1:02 a.m. PST

This last Full Moon of 2024 is a powerful time to give gratitude for the good things that came into your life this year. Celebrate your accomplishments and progress - baby steps or leaps, doesn't matter! Remember, by acknowledging and celebrating successes and any help that came your way, you're energetically aligning yourself to receive more blessings.

And, after you’ve given your thanks (and gave yourself a pat on the back, too!), it’s time to release what you don’t want to take with you into the new year.  Anything you want to release is fair game!

Intentions related to the shadow Gemini qualities will get an extra boost though. And so if you're suffering from a social media addiction, this Full Moon is for you 😊 It’s the sign of the times – we have a panic attack when we leave our cell phone at home. We can’t stay away from checking messages.  We feel guilty if we don’t respond to texts right away.

If that’s you – set intentions on this Full Moon to let go of the inability to shut off your brain, having too many things on the go, and the tendency to second-guess yourself.

How To:

  1. Set aside about 30 minutes.

  2. Prepare your space. You will need to focus on your intentions. It may help to light a candle and burn some incense. A black candle is traditionally associated with removing things from your life, but a white candle will work as well.
  1. Spend a few minutes writing in your gratitude journal (or simply make a list of what you’re grateful for). This is IMPORTANT! Don't skip this step.
  1. Then focus on what you want to release (behaviours or circumstances that don’t serve your goals). Truly FEEL your intentions. This is also important. You need to infuse your intentions with energy.

Feeling unable to put your phone away and let your mind rest and recharge? Imagine the feeling of deep peace washing over you and deep relaxation seeping into your bones as the mental chatter gradually fades away.

Keep changing your mind too often? Imagine how good it will feel when you make a decision and stick to it, without second-guessing yourself – and how much energetic space this will free up in your life! The amazing feeling of confidence it will give you.

Play a picture in your mind of what your life is going to be like once these behaviours are gone.
  1. You can write your intentions on a piece of paper and burn it if you wish. Keep repeating your intentions over the next two weeks. The entire Waning Moon phase is good for releasing what no longer serves us, especially the day after the Full Moon, and a couple of days before the next New Moon.

Then, on the next New Moon – December 30 at 2:27 p.m. PST – make intentions for new beginnings. Set yourself up for a successful fresh new start. We're heading into a brand new year, after all...!

Sample Intentions:

For this Full Moon, sample intentions might include:

“I want the habit of second-guessing myself and others lifted from me”.

“I want mental overactivity leading to <restlessness, insomnia> gone from my life”.

“I want the habit of changing my mind totally lifted from me.”

“I want the tendency to multi-task without giving full attention to what I’m doing gone from my life.”

“I want bad feelings between me and <my sibling – NAME> gone from my life” (Gemini also rules siblings).

"I want to let go of anything that is dragging me down, preventing me from manifesting the life I truly desire".
