Astro-Weather for December 16 - 22 2024:

Mercury is freshly out of retrograde as of Dec. 15. Hallelujah! It was a rough one here - hope you did better! 🙌 But, remember that most Mercury Rx-related mishaps happen the days before AND after it changes direction, so be on guard until Dec. 18.  Read the fine print, check the distribution list for important messages, and give yourself plenty of time to get to important appointments.

Other than that though, this is another week bookended by two Opportunity Periods! Despite all the retrograde energy, December is good to us.

Don't miss December 19! It's a five-star day for romance, whether you're single or in a couple.

And, the Sun enters Capricorn on Dec. 21 at 1:21 a.m. PST this year. Happy Birthday to my Capricorn readers ♑

In other news, Jupiter and Saturn are getting ready to butt heads again, on Dec. 24, in a square to one another. We've lived since this energy since August, and it's about to peak again.  We're feeling it already, and it will intensify next week. 

I've had a number of clients with the Sun or personal planets in Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces or Virgo feeling the push and pull of this energy in the past 6+ months. The overall theme is feeling optimistic and enthused about a cherished dream, but also having fears that it might not come true, that you're running out of time, or that you will have obstacles to push through.

This energy also encourages you to consider that every dream comes with a cost. Fantastic career? The higher up the career ladder, the more stress you experience. A happy relationship? They take work: there are some compromises and dark moments that might not be obvious to the observer. For every success, there is a price to pay....says this energy (so very pragmatic!).  But, this shouldn't stop you from pursuing your dreams. Without the lows,  the highs wouldn't be the same.

Opportunity Periods are those magical windows when the stars align just right, aiding specific undertakings.  With Mercury freshly direct, as of Dec. 15, and the Moon in Cancer during this Opportunity Period, it's a great time for communication with your family members and domestic matters. 

✨   Dec. 18:  the Sun square Neptune

OK, not the greatest energy.  Vitality can be low, and sensitivity to drugs and alcohol can be high.  Don't overdo. 

✨   Dec. 19:  Venus trine Jupiter

Yes yes yes! A fantastic energy for love or money! The most auspicious energy of December arrives today.  Charge a rose quartz + citrine for luck in love matters, or a pyrite + citrine for financial luck. 

 

✨   Dec. 21:  The Sun Enters Capricorn at 1: 21 a.m. PST

Ahhh! The Moon in Libra completes a Grand Trine (a beneficial energy flow) with Jupiter and Venus during this Opportunity Period. It's an awesome energy for socializing and everything joyous. Just in time for the holidays! 

👉  I remember thinking about Neptune moving into Aries in 2025, a while back, thinking "no....not another bout of inflation! How can it be? The Federal Reserve and Central Bank of Canada (along with the central banks in other countries) slayed it with the high interest rates!" 

You see,  Neptune in Aries is associated with inflation (much like a Jupiter-Neptune energy we experienced in 2022).  

Welllll...with Trump threatening steep tariffs on Canada and Mexico, we could in fact be looking into renewed inflation in 2025!
