Astrology, Tarot and More

  • The Astrology of February 2022

Oh my goodness! February is a very special month. Mercury turns direct on Feb. 3.  All the planets will be direct until Apr. 29 - a big green light for new beginnings. AND!!!! We're heading into an extended Venus-Mars conjunction. Our passion levels skyrocket. Yes, it's about romantic passion - but also, zest for life.
  • Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius/Capricorn, Jan. 14 - Feb. 3 2022

Mercury Retrograde can bring annoying technology glitches, delayed or cancelled travel plans and appointments, and  frustrating miscommunication.  And….it also has a huge silver lining. It’s the best time of the year for all things “re”: re-do, re-plan, re-write (or edit), re-connect, repair, reflect.

This Mercury Retrograde straddles Aquarius and Capricorn, echoing the theme of the Uranus-Saturn squares that dominated the astrology of 2021 (and that we will still feel in 2022).  Reflect on your relationship with stability and change, say Aquarius and Capricorn.

  • The Astrology of January 2022

January is preparing us for a very nice energy shift.  Some of the 2021 energies are clearing (even though it will take some time), and much lighter, hopeful and compassionate energies are coming in. With Mercury and Venus both retrograde, it's a good month to reflect and readjust.  But there is also a lot of Uranus energy - what needs to change in your life?

  • Jupiter in Pisces 2021-2022: Healing, Spirituality, and Inflation

Jupiter moves back into Pisces on Dec. 28 2021! This is big. When Jupiter changes signs, opportunities for expansion and luck shift. Where to? Look at the House (=area of life) Jupiter is going through in your natal chart.

Jupiter in Pisces brings healing and a renewed emphasis on spirituality. It's also great news for all the artists out there! But, it can also bring inflation and a "redistribution of wealth".

  • The Astrology of 2022

Some of the major astrological themes of the year are quite different from what we experienced in 2020/2021 (phew!). While there are still some bumpy stretches, there are also a number of truly magical planetary alignments in store for us this year...

  • The Astrology of December 2021

Well, 2021 is going out with a bang. I know we're all looking for a relaxed, happy holiday season, but... December is quite intense. The last eclipse along the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, Venus going retrograde, and the Saturn-Uranus square peaking for the final time this year.  Some powerful energies to ride!
  • Venus Retrograde 2021

Venus - the planet of love, money and personal values – goes retrograde on December 19, at 26° Capricorn. It will turn direct again on Jan. 29 2022.

This retrograde will bring Venus into an unusually long close alignment with Pluto, from Dec. 10 to Dec. 29. Karmic relationships can resurface in your life. And, for those who went through a particularly painful breakup, closure can finally be gained.

It's not just about love though. It's also about finances, personal values, beauty procedures and self-care.

  • Astrology of November 2021

The first 3 weeks of November have some bumps, but they also bring some very auspicious energies if you need that one final push to work on something. Mars, Mercury and the Sun will all be in Scorpio.

The eclipse season kicks off with the Lunar Eclipse on Nov. 19 - the first in a series of Taurus-Scorpio eclipses.

Venus moves into Capricorn, which - together with Mars in Scorpio - is a great energy for career or business. And for finding a long-term romantic partner!

The New Moon in Scorpio is a big highlight. If you're looking to boost your determination or resilience (physical or mental), to bring more passion into your life, or to work on those deep-seated beliefs that might be blocking you, circle Nov. 4 (Pacific Time) on your calendar!

  • "Am I Cursed?": Astrology of a Difficult Time

“Why am I going through such a long and difficult stretch? Am I cursed?” is the question that's come up in many of my readings, over the last couple of years. Spoiler alert: 99.9% of the time, the answer is a "no". But, there are some things to be aware of, astrologically and energetically!
  • Saturn: A Friend or a Foe?

My job as an astrologer is to let you know what the future has in store, but also to help you navigate the energies coming into your life.

Saturn used to be the "bad guy" - the greater malefic - in astrology. A couple of centuries ago, an astrologer would have forecast some verrrry unpleasant things for you when Saturn visited your natal chart.

Thankfully, we have progressed since then from a deterministic view of astrology to the belief (which I share) that we have the power to work with the energies coming into our life.

So is Saturn a friend or a foe? Well....it's up to you!

  • Astrology of October 2021

While Mercury stays retrograde until Oct. 18, October is also the month that Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto turn direct. The more planets are direct, the more “go forward” energy is available to us, and the easier it is to get your undertakings off the ground successfully.  Relationships are strongly highlighted through the first 3 weeks of October. Don't miss a very special New Moon on Oct. 6 - fantastic for calling a soulmate relationship into your life.
  • Mercury Retrograde in Libra, Sept. 26-Oct. 18 2021

This Mercury Retrograde is in Libra, making it an ideal time to reconnect with your partner (pre-schedule some fun date nights if you can!); to re-balance your own needs and the needs of those around you; and to reflect on your view of fairness.
